Short-Term Mission Trip | Admirals Basketball

  • Location: Chisinau, Moldova
  • Dates: July 17–25, 2026
  • Trip Cost: TBD

This short-term mission trip invites you to step into a week of intentional presence, relational ministry, and servant leadership alongside Admirals Basketball, a Christ-centered organization using athletics as a platform to develop young leaders spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

We will come alongside their team to support a basketball camp and discipleship-focused programming, walking with players, coaches, and leaders as they pursue excellence on and off the court.

What We’ll Be Doing

This trip centers around shared rhythms of ministry, learning, and relationship:

  • Supporting and serving at a basketball camp with Admirals Basketball
  • Building relationships with players and coaches through intentional presence and encouragement
  • Bible study and spiritual formation with athletes
  • Leadership development and discipleship with coaches and teams
  • Learning the heart, vision, and long-term impact of the Admirals Basketball program

About Our Partner: Admirals Basketball

Admirals Basketball is a faith-based organization committed to using basketball as a tool for discipleship, character formation, and leadership development. Their mission is to invest in young people through sport while grounding everything in biblical truth, mentorship, and community.

Through camps, team development, and ongoing relationships, Admirals Basketball creates spaces where athletes are challenged to grow in faith, discipline, teamwork, and purpose—both on the court and in everyday life.

We are honored to partner with them and learn from their model of ministry.

Team Commitment & Preparation

To serve well and steward relationships with humility and excellence, all team members are required to:

  • Attend 4 pre-trip team preparation meetings
  • Participate in training that covers cultural awareness, spiritual preparation, and team dynamics
  • Come ready to serve, listen, and learn.  These gatherings are essential. They help shape us into a cohesive team and prepare us spiritually and practically for the work ahead.

Fundraising: When considering the cost of the trip, we encourage all participants to fundraise to make this mission possible. Oak Hills Church will provide a fundraising platform and guidance on effective ways to raise support.

What’s Included: The cost includes airfare, meals, lodging, in-country transportation, travel insurance, and all ministry related supplies and costs. Note: sightseeing activities and souvenirs are at your own expense.

This trip is a good fit for those who:

  • Love Christ and desire to serve with humility
  • Enjoy building relationships across cultures and contexts
  • Are comfortable learning through presence rather than productivity
  • Appreciate sports as a meaningful avenue for discipleship and connection
