Join OHC Missionaries Gui and Lorena Schott in sharing the love of Jesus through testimony, service, and worship. This opportunity allows you to engage with refugees and underserved communities in a city rich with diversity; building connections through worship, Bible studies, and fellowship dinners. Partner with local ministries such as Mosaic Church, One Family Refugee Church, and the World Food Hub to serve through food preparation, small group discussions, and meaningful outreach. Through adult discipleship and community engagement, you’ll witness how God is at work in Coventry while being part of His mission to make disciples of all nations.
Mission Partners:
Gui and Lorena are full-time Brazilian missionaries sent out in 2016 by Refuge of Grace, an Oak Hills Church plant in Brazil, they now serve in Coventry. Their primary focus is to impact the city with the gospel by reaching out to its multicultural population, especially refugees, through worship services, Bible studies, and other community initiatives. They also host visiting ministry teams, lead evangelism training, and collaborate with other local ministries to advance their mission.
Trip Highlights:
Work alongside our missionaries as you discover the many ways, they are partnered in serving their local church refugees, and the asylum Muslim community
Engage in Adult Bible ministries, refugee outreach, and community food hubs.
Experience a sightseeing day to nearby Warwick Castle, Oxford, or other local landmarks.
What’s Included
The $2,300.00 cost includes airfare, meals, lodging, in-country transportation, travel insurance, and all ministry related supplies and costs.
Note: sightseeing activities and souvenirs are at your own expense.
Fundraising
When considering the cost of the trip, we encourage all participants to fundraise to make this mission possible. Oak Hills Church will provide a fundraising platform and guidance on effective ways to raise support. Together, we’ll make it happen!
Preparation Meetings
There will be 4 team meetings to prepare you for cross cultural missions. Attendance at a minimum of three team meetings is required, focusing on team unity, cultural insights, and trip preparation.
