Trip Details
Focus: Home Construction, Children’s Ministry, & Widow Care
Come join us as we journey to Chichicastenango, Guatemala, to serve the Quiche people—a vibrant community in the picturesque mountain regions where Oak Hills Church has developed a long-standing and meaningful partnership. This trip is one of the longest mission efforts Oak Hills has been part of, and it has had a beautiful impact on both the community and those who travel. We will work alongside our local partner, Missions Frontier, to build homes for local families, engage in children’s ministry in rural areas, and care for widows through outreach and relationship building.
Mission Partners: Formed in 2007, Missions Frontier is a Christian non-profit development organization providing resources and support that encourage local initiative and cultivate Christ-centered relationships in Guatemala. Missions Frontier continues to partner with short-term teams and local pastors and their church families to work on projects that offer the opportunity for relationship and discipleship.
Lodging: Casa Del Rey Hotel, which offers mountain views and a welcoming atmosphere to rest at the end of a day of service. Rooms are double or triple occupancy and include private baths, hot showers, and a cozy sitting area with a fireplace

Fun Fact Oak Hills Church has been actively serving this region for over 40 years! In the 1980s, a young Max Lucado, then a student at Abilene Christian University, joined a short-term mission trip to visit Pat Hile, Oak Hills Church's Spanish Minister, who was serving as a missionary in the area at the time.
