Texas Flooding Disaster Relief
During the month of May, Texas experienced torrential downpours. As a result, many Hill Country areas experienced extreme flooding from rivers and creeks. Many are in need of food, water and shelter. We continue to lift up in prayer those who were impacted by the storms, and specifically those who lost loved ones. The recovery, clean-up and rebuilding process will be extensive.
The Disaster Relief Team at Oak Hills Church has put together a plan to help cities such as San Marcos, Wimberley and Blanco. Oak Hills Church is contributing financially to Samaritan’s Purse and Operation Blessing International, organizations that are first responders. We are also working to send food paks through our partnership with the Children’s Hunger Fund. This is just the beginning of helping families survive and recover from this great loss.
If you feel led to contribute financially to the relief effort, we recommend you consider the following OHC partners:
Oak Hills Church encourages giving directly to the organizations above. If you are unable to give online, you may donate to Oak Hills Church and note “Local Disaster Relief” on the memo line of your check. Donations to Oak Hills with this notation will be allocated to relief aid. Check donations may be placed in the offering baskets or drop-boxes at any OHC campus.
Please continue to pray for the families and relief volunteers as they face the difficult days ahead.
