Why share your story?

Welcome to our You’ll Get Through This stories page! We’ve created this community of encouragement for you to share with others who may need a word of hope how God brought you out of a situation involving one of the four D’s: debt, disappointment, divorce, and disease.

We’ve all experienced circumstances in life that are unfair. Unplanned things cause our world to crash and the lines of right and wrong to blur. We never plan to get cancer, lose our jobs before the holidays, or experience infidelity in our relationships. When moments like this occur we’re given the choice to either shake our fists at God, be angry, and choose to only see what is wrong, or look to God as our rock and remain confident in Him to bring us through our valleys. (Psalm 18:12)

Life is challenging, but God promises that anything you experience can be worked for good as long as we are in line with His intentions and purpose. (Romans 8:28) God can take the trials of your life and use them to show others His goodness through what Max has deemed the 50:20 principle from Genesis 50:20, “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.” (NASB)

How to share your story

God moved in your situation and He may want to use trials from your life to support, uplift, and bless others who may be going through a tough time. We invite you to share your story in this community through one of our two formats.

  1. For those of you who are comfortable in front of the camera we welcome you to record a short video testimony, upload it to YouTube or Vimeo, and then submit it to us. This can be done by copying the URL of your uploaded video and pasting it into the submit form in the designated area.
  2. If you’re camera shy or prefer to express yourself through writing you can submit a written testimony through our submittal form.

Be honest, be yourself, and most importantly give all the glory to God. If you’re not sure where to start you can find a list of helpful tips for telling your story here.
