November is National Adoption Month

November is National Adoption Month, and a great time to bring about awareness of the need for adoption and fostering. There are about 4000 children in Region 8 (which includes Bexar County) who are in foster care. Of those, approximately 1000 are orphans, meaning that parents and family members are not present or safe to care for these children.
